Paula Coco began her career as a playwright with the one-act play, I'm A Believer. It was selected as part of the One-Act Play Festival for the New Haven Arts & Ideas Festival and was the only play selected for an additional performance at the Long Wharf Theatre.
This play was the beginning of a longer project that eventually turned into the full-length two-woman comedy, Nipples To The Wind. The play toured nationally for two years and had productions at 14th Street Playhouse in Atlanta, Lo Bero Theatre in Santa Barbara, The California Center for the Performing Arts and The San Jose Performing Arts Center, just to name a few.
Additional plays that have also receive productions are Mattie Silks, About Noah, and The Five Mrs. Dusselburgers.
Paula began her career as a stand-up comic in NYC, performing at The Improv, Caroline's, The Comic Strip, and Rascal's. She was a top five finalist in the Fox Network/Bud Lite Laff Off and also a top five finalist (and only female) in Connecticut's Funniest Comedian Contest for PBS.
In addition to stand-up, Paula was the founder and Artistic Director of Connecticut's longest running Improv Troupe, The WHIT.
Now residing in her home state of Texas, Paula has directed numerous plays for local theatres, as well as acting in several productions.
